A Study of Happiness-inducing Factors in Nursing and Midwifery Students at the Islamic Azad University of Jahrom

Introduction: In psychology, happiness is defined as a positive emotion which lasts longer than atemporary good feeling; it steady condition among one’s emotions and understanding oflife. Happiness beneficial to the whole society, but effects of on university students,as new blood future makers nations, have been greater interest researchers. Thepresent study aims explore factors that induce in nursing midwifery students.
 Methods: The present descriptive-comparative work research conducted 2017 200nursing students at Islamic Azad University Jahrom south Iran. Thesubjects were selected based census sampling method. To determine degree happinessin subjects, researchers used Oxford Questionnaire developed by Argyle et al.in 1979. questionnaire consists 29 multiple-choice items scored Likert scale between0 3. reliability validity tested confirmed severalstudies. collected data analyzed using SPSS v. 15.
 Findings: Of 200 studied,81% (171) female 65.4% (138) single. mean score subjects wasfound be 40.1±9.1. On scale, students’ level was medium. 21.9% ofthe had low levels (a 0 28), 71.5% acceptable (ascore 57), 6.6% high 58 87). An analysis datashowed there not significant relationship between subjects’ anyof their demographic characteristics except term (p=0.05).
 Conclusion: findingsof show universitystudents Since are potential labor force thehealthcare systems societies, essential they maintain whichis criterion psychological health. Accordingly, recommended organized measures betaken improve health keep satisfactory throughoutthe duration education.
